Dr Joe Abah commended the efforts of Wennovation Hub for setting up such a grand innovation space which he further emphasised that development will help businesses and ideas thrive given the fact that most youth-led startups need affordable co-working space that promotes community spirit and collaboration and access to technical assistance all of which the hub is providing as their unique value proposition in addition with access to basic amenities like internet, training and access to funding.
Mr Lawal Abiodun, the anchor opened the ground for questions by asking him to throw more light on his adopting of the name, “King of Baby Boys” during the fireside chat session. Dr Joe Abah answered saying the adoption of the name came as a response to social seclusion of the male gender, the fact that women are always better trained on basic behaviours and responsibilities while most men are left out of the equation.
The special guest during the fireside chat addressed many of the youth facing challenges addressing issues around youth political participation, reading culture, good work ethics. In his closing remarks, he encouraged young people to be hardworking and prayerful as these are the bedrocks of success. He pointed out the opportunities that Wennovation Hub is creating for young people by relaunching the hub to give startups a grand platform for development and therefore enjoined young people to maximize the opportunity.
The event ended with networking, picture sessions and gifts presentation.
